Cry What about the Dog??

I planning my extended trip I am finding all types of different reasons for feeling guilty about leaving. The Family, Daughter, House, Cars, Job, etc..... I must be twisted, because I think I will worry about and miss the dog the most. Anyone else have this problem?

I could leave everything behind BUT the dog. Work I can joyfully walk away from for a couple of weeks. Dad and sisters are on the opposite coast, so I don't see them much at all. The wife I can talk to daily thanks to the iPhone. But the dog I missed too much to leave behind.

I got a sidecar to travel with my dog. He never complains, is delighted to be with me, approves of my dietary choices, is a social butterfly who helps me meet folks, appreciates a good beer, snuggles better than my wife, and hangs on my every word as if it's the most profound thing he's ever heard.

I need to get a hack so I can bring my dog. I'm not sure he'd like it though...most dogs seem to love hanging their heads out the window of a moving car. If I open a window in the car and the breeze hits my dog, he gets up and looks at me like "what the hell did you do that for?!"
