These NF's are free to keep (in the UK prices have risen from 2000 to about 3500/4000 for a good clean bike since 2001). Apart from insurance (very cheap in the UK) can't think of a bike that is cheaper to run. 80mpg (Imperial) low maintenance cost and certainly in my experience very reliable. Talk to you other half!!!!

Thumb

Hi folks,
I'm away in Phoenix, riding around the desert roads ... on a Gold Wing no less.
Having a great time so far, but had to stay home yesterday because of the dust storm and winds of up to 60 mph. Tomorrow we'll head up to Prescott.
I can't wait to get back home and try out the V11 Sport Naked that I picked up in Georgia two weeks ago... talk about a prize wife! Brought it home, and left for Phoenix, so it's not yet street legal.
Anyone wants to buy a good Nuovo Falcone? eh? eh?
Cheers,
Hippodan

Ex army bike, I bought it in 1997, it has only 17000 km on the clock, original exhaust pipe still on. Beautiful sound, weak brakes. I love it.

Now, I like those old horses that people ACTUALLY RIDE day to day.

Both of those bikes look like the real thing. No cream-puff garage queens there !

Hey I have a technical question. My CEV light switch has just malfunctioned. Inside looks like the central pivot post that's made to the plastic rocker button has overheated and slightly melted that plastic rocker button.

I'm not sure what caused this. There are no lamps that draw heavy current on the bike.

Any suggestions?

if the contacts inside the switch get dirty, the resistance causes the contacts to heat up , to the point of melting.
so there is nothing actually wrong with the wiring , you just had a corroded contact.
only solution to avoid this is to wire in relays , or keep the contacts inside the switch clean.

Nice looking NF, looking forward to getting to ride one of my two, two weeks or so to go.

Giving serious thought to bringing the two Nuovo Falcone's back to Oz, on the back of this.

In a 20' container of coarse

Boy, that must have been quite the heavy duty utility vehicle in its day!
By the way, I'm fixing to list my NF on eBay, so before I do that, anyone on the list looking for a good running bike? Previously gone through by Blue Moon Cycle. $6,495, located in Ontario.
Cheers,
Dan
