Has anyone here ridden a nuovo - heavy, slow, ugly - soggy pasta.

Nice muffler.

Also have '70 SS350, '72, '73. Some of us believe the horizontal single is God's sacred design. Just ask Dave Roper!

heres a pic of mine. I bought it in Macedonia a few years ago, it was originally a yugoslavian army bike. The bodywork was customized a bit, the rest is stock.
It has more neutrals than any bike I have ever ridden. 1st & 4th are easy, but 2nd & 3rd can be a bit tricky to find. I've been meaning to put a tank shift/foot clutch on it, as that should make the gears easier to find.
The good thing is, that unless you stop, you can just keep it in 3rd gear
Its a great bike tho. I have been all over the balkans on it, & keep it in Bulgaria. its got a straight pipe, which helps clear the backroads of annoying goats & gypsies. (I dont want to take it on the highway) I've even looged alot of miles on dirt roads. Its not great for that, but lets face it, its not really 'great' for anything. But its fun & dependable.

Welllll, ADV's own adventure-tourer celebrity, Master Doug himself, graces our humble little NuFalc thread. Somebody like Doug endorsing the tenacity of a bike like the Nuovo Falcone is a hearty endorsement.

Good to see that another Alabama wild man likes them (I'm in Gulf Shores, Doug).

Okay Doug, tell us what you've done to it. Looks like you have a different tank and different fenders. What else?

Sounds to me like the NuFalc would be a good mount for one of your epic trips into the nowhere ....

my friend in MK had built a bigger tank & did the fenders.
other than that, its mostly stock. I really like it, lots of fun to ride, & will go anywhere as long as your not in a hurry.

Only things I plan to do to it is the hand shifter & a better solo seat.
I have an extra flywheel cover that I want to cut up, exposing the flywheel.
I'm working on organizing a ride this summer around Bulgaria on old bikes. I'd like to finish my Balkan (old bulgarian bike) but if not, I may take the guzzi.

theres another guy with an older falcone near you, altho I cant remember his name.

Doug

You might also consider a head rebuild for the guzzi , using lighter valves and lighter springs.
NF have a bad habit to drop valves, mostly because the valve springs are way too stiff.

when i rebuild the head om my NF ( after it dropped a valve...) i went from 110 kilo pressure at max valve hub to 60 kilo, and i can still cruise all day at 75 mph without worries about floating valves.

cheers,
Hubert

Probably Mike P. in Mobile. Was a dealer years ago. He even had one of those Triking 3-wheel jobs with an old Eldorado motor hanging off the front.

Yes, I saw that. I've seen his ad before and I exchanged emails with him. Sounds like the bike is in great shape. He was trying to get about 6500 for it, as I remember.
