Throttle handle adjustment...

Throttle handle adjustment. To the brain trust that is Adv Rider. On my 09 GS the throttle rolls a bit before actually making the bike rev. How can I adjust it? Or can I. It moves maybe 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch.

Sattwood,
There is supposed to some slack in the cable. I do not know what that is on your specific year and model but your manual should have that. Most bikes that have a throttle cable {I.E. non fly by wire bikes} there is usually an adjustment in the cable itself near the throttle tube itself as Laurel posted in his picture.

Loosen the jamb nut, then turn the adjuster counter clockwise as you would see it from the end, like you are loosening the adjuster to make it longer, that makes the outer cable housing longer and less slack in the throttle. Do not forget to retighten the jamb nut, not too tight though. Just snug.
