Nice.

I can't wait for the game next week. I just found out that my buddy, an ex Eagle, has got a luxury box for the game - sweet free food & drinks.

Then Rittenhouse Square for hunting...

An old SI rugby article. My old coach & friend is Bill Smith. He was one of the founding men of NYAC Rugby Club and a hell raiser back in the day.

This is why I always love watching Samoa - Big hits (some on here not legal)

In the past, they were only good for the 1st 20 mins, but within the last 10 yrs, they got into better shape to last the full 80.

No thanks coach, I'll watch from the bench

USA - New Zealand game at PPL park last night

My wife an I went to the USA - All Blacks match last night - what a blast - amazing game with lists of scoring, big hits and everything in between.

I started a rugby club this year at the school where I teach in Philadelphia and it was a huge. We had about 22 kids grades 6, 7 & 8 and they really learned the game. Each day after some drills we would play an 11 on 11 game for about 30 minutes and the kids would leave practice exhausted. I had to modify the rules a bit because w have a few really big kids and a few really little kids.

To be completely honest, I don't have any formal training in rugby and never played organized matches, but I watch it a ton and played informally with my high school football team. I started the club to get the kids interested in a contact sport and get them running, passing and tackling correctly. It should be a great feeder program for my wrestling team - we shall see.

Sno Dawg,

Down here in Baltimore, I coached the Johns Hopkins men's team and assistant-coached the women's team. Although there is a ton of great rugby in your area to draw from, if you need a hand let me know. I'd be happy to come up for a clinic or something like that. Also, my neighbor coaches rugby for a local high school, they're *always* looking for matches from other high schools.

Good on ya Sno Dog. Great to hear about folks passionate about rugby growing the game! Super jealouse you got to be there lsst night. Iwas watching a crappy feed fron New Zealand on my computer in Oregon. Pisses me off that possibly the biggest rugby match on US soil didnt even make it live on ESPN 2 when you can watch high school cheerleading or paintball tournements live.
Cam Dolan is a super star in the making. 10 bucks says he will be the next American to play in the Super 15. Dolan , Lavalla,Manoa and Clever going to be exciting to see them all together.

All Blacks 26 - France 19

A great old fashioned test match, the Tricolours did not lay down and battled to the end.

The All Blacks find another start winger - Charles Piutau. Wow.

Pity about the playing surface.
