Cleaning inside of R11S headlamp
Is there a way to clean the inside of the headlamp on my R1100S? I just happened to look at it while (it was) lit, and it is really dirty in there.
Thanks |

You might try taking it apart and running it through the dish washer, (when your wife isn't looking).

Thanks, Bill. I'll look into that when I have the side panels off next weekend.

dish washer soap has clay in it for abrasion, I would expect it to take off the reflector.
I would get eyeglass cleaner solution and some long qtips Rod |

Never had to clean an R1100S headlamp, but on the Ducatis, I pour in half a cupful of methylated spirits (I think its rubbing alcohol in the US) and give it s slosh about.
Pour it out and leave the rest to evaporate. Works well. Cheers, Mark |
