are all tool tray's interchangeable !

1984 r80rt

recently aquired a RT, the seat sat funny - when veiwed from behind it looked tilted.
come to find out the tool tray was interfearing with the seat and keeping it from laying against the frame.

are there combinations of differant year trays and seats that don't work together.

the battery is the same size dimentionaly as the one in my 78 s model .

i don't se a way to lower the battery box.

anybody ever see this or have a suggestion as to a fix

/6 through '84 tool trays are the same. Is your battery stock? Is it sitting in the tray as it should?

I tried two different battery's that i have and in my 78 S the tray fits over both.

in the 84 rt neither tray fits over either of the two battery's.

it looks like with some cutting and welding i can lower the battery box a little, it should be enough.

No. At least of three I have they are all different. R80st, R80 and R100gs
