Met up with an unknown to me crew at Crafers about 11.00am thanks to DR Ozzy for inviting us for the first leg of his overnighter at the bottom of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

you will have to excuse me Iam terriable with names and I can't remember any of your names ..(very sorry about that)

Crafers

we headed back up upper sturt rooad and turned inland, I don't know where we went but there was some cracker tracks
One was a particularly nasty slippery rocky downhill, but we all got through and stopped at Meadows for lunch.

The bakery was closed for christmas break so onward to Port Elliot.

Meadows

hows the serenity.....

this Bolla Road should be renamed "KTM 950 SE Specail section"

what a road, doesn't show in the pic, but wide sweeping bends up hill and down dale ...........makes for some very very entertaining Erzbereg WOT action........................put a massive smile on my dial.........

we came in from the left.....................it was a buzz.

and went this way, heading further south

just a hint of what Erxberg road looked like

we took the no through road .(of course)

Dr Ozzy "lighting her up"

appetite whet yet ??

those southery winds must pick up at times

and again .hows the serenity............

Not having a thousand gallon fuel tank over the front end would help.

job done

upon reflection, I don't actually think it is the start and its just a barrier against 4WD's ..........but it made for some fun

this is exiting the lookout ..(full screen is best)

So we head into Delamare searching for fuel............it was after 6.00pm so not open

no problem .......plenty of fuel left in those tankers around me......

I used up that credit I had with Marty........

that got the remaining 3 of us to Normanville......at 6.55pm
Servo shut at 7.00 .so no problem.....

we headed home from that and split up closer to Adelaide .I was back just after 8.00.

fantastic day out ....thanks..

The day before I took the 32 litre tank off and put the standard 17litre tank back on.......

it took me a while to understand that 30ltr is a 20 ltr jerry plus a 10ltr jerry ..duh...

after I ran out on Jizzas run, we put just under a liter in and I put just a splash in at Gawler.........(well thats what I thought, was definately going to top up before the next ride)

drained the tank and it was still holding 10 ltrs..

checked the aircleaner .and the pre was chockers.........

I aslo put the standard tripple clamp back on..........the other held the scotts damper but aslo changed the geometry somewhat

overall the bike ran a lot better, steering control as vastly improved .a little bit nervous , but a great improvement.
later whilst I was waiting for fuel I lowered the front tyre pressure a bit from 25/6 to about 20/22 (can't find a gauge that works at moment).bingo ............front end stable .......

I was pretty keen to run the bike low on fuel so I could get a feel for the suspension/steering etc.....and with the other supertankers around me I wasn't too worried. We discussed fuel at various times but didn't get to one it time.

great blokes, great day out .had a ball.
