Thanks!

Somehow the lack of planning made the trip that much more fun. I learned a few things about operating in cold weather like heated jacket liners are awesome and Shorai batteries suck.

If you set out in cold weather with a Shorai battery, read up on how to warm it up. If Big-E hadn't been there, I'd still be trying to bring my SE to life.

Looks like an awesome ride

You guys missed FR143 from Patagonia over to Amado. Too bad, but gives you an excuse to go back down there.

damgoneit

hey charlie, stopped by and got my trailer this a.m. it WAS rather depressing - knowing my desert retreat was coming to an end.
And, well, dam gone it, its fricken cold up top. And, well, DAM GONE IT, nobody cleared out my road and driveway while i was basking in the desert sun. So, after getting home, I was fortunate enough to run the snow blower for 30 minutes, hook up the snow plow to the truck and push my drive way and road out!!!!!!! @#$$%&* snow

I wanna retire and ride the desert all winter. brought both bikes back for a little maintenance so they are ready to go for another round of desert abuse.

Maybe our next ride won't involve 20 degrees f, highs of 45, and snow.

That was the best 4 days on a moto in awhile, lets dot it again

Monte

I've done the exact same ride except we ventured off into Sonoita for some wine testing. It's beautiful country down there but right now, it's freakin' cold. It's single track season, not 950 WOT season.
