7 Riders and 12 Passes

Starting this Friday the 21st, 7 of us are going on a trip.
Starting in Taos, New Mexico, towards Aspen, Colorado over the course of 4-5 days. The Passes are, Elwood Pass, Wolf Creek Pass, Spring Creek Pass, Cinnamon Pass, Engineers Pass, Red Mtn Pass, Black Bear Pass, Imogene Pass, Owl Creek Pass, McClure Pass, Independence Pass, and finally, Poncha Pass.
Camping will be had and whiskey will be swilled.
The riders are on 4 KiLleR 650's, a BMW Dakar 800 that has gone around the world solo in 14 months, A BMW F650GS, and a recently restored Honda xl 600r that was featured on advrider (crobox) a few months ago.
We will be posting as much as we can throughout the trip with pics and hopefully our trials and tribulations. With that many riders, funny stuff is gonna happen. Here is a pic from a minute ago, I am almost packed and psyched as all get out to get the hell out of dodge.

Sorry about the crap photo, took it with the laptop that I am typing it on.
I use a real camera when on the road...

Should be a good time and if any of the fellow inmates care to chime in on some gems to ride and or camp in any of those areas, that would be great.

Hate to say this but you need to reroute. Wolf Creek area is engulfed with uncontrolled wildfire and all roads are closed in that entire area. You won't get to Elwood, Wolf Creek, Spring Creek as again all roads at WC area are now closed. The town of South Fork is evacuated and the highway from there to Creede/Spring Creek is closed as well. Bummer as your route looked awesome.

Google West Fork Fire and/or Windy Pass Fire. Dang.

Edit... WC Pass is closed at the chain up station so you MIGHT be able to get to Elwood. Go north from that area to Del Norte then get North to La Garita then west and take Carneros Pass to 114. Then get off that pave to old Cochatopa Pass then head west after that over Los Pinos Pass to Cathedral then keep going west up to Spring Creek Pass then into Lake City to continue. Good luck. Still lots of good dirt. PM if you need road numbers.
