![]() does anyone know who is living there on the side of the toll road? Happy new year!!! Those are large greenhouses used to grow legumes, tomatoes, cantaloupes or other produce.... but being in the state of Sinaloa maybe you´ll find out that they grow other kind of "greens " there ![]() Enjoying our RR |

Great trip. I did the same thing last year, rode all the way down to Panama.
My most memorable experience was watching a woman in Guatemala washing clothes, by hand, in a river on the side of a hill and happily doing so, and then a few weeks later, listening to teen's, Mexican American teens BTW, in Starbucks in San Diego, complaining about the crappy 3G service on their Iphones. It really is amazing what a line of latitude can do. |

thanks y'all. I agree wheatwhacker. the difference is Grande :)
I got a late start out of mazatlan and decided to try the route libre ( not the toll road) yay for twisties! only made it guasave. stayed in an odd roadside inn where every room has its own garage! reminded me of some places on route 66. ![]() ![]() it was called the Treble Inn. probably meant to sound like travel inn? it felt kind of eery there. the only way into your room was through the garage and they never gave me a key. late at night some dude was trying to break into my garage. apparently they sold it twice! I am getting better about stopping for food. now it's a pop into the oxxo for dinner ![]() as you can probably tell by now I'm no foodie. ![]() it missadventure screwed with this post 01-02-2013 at 02:42 PM |

Miss A.,
Thanks for the story and pics.... ![]() Uh, your Mexican diet a la Oxxo and vending machines needs to quickly be amended by eating tacos....street food is the way to go when on the go.... And those motels.....are designed for sexcapades....privacy with no names....I bet some eyebrows were raised when you signed in Be safe and enjoy the adventure....

haha. that makes sense. there was a giant mirror and no place to put your luggage. I didn't sign in. they just wanted cash and gave me a slip of paper with the room number on it. I should have guessed it from the listed price for a six hour stay.
![]() buen idea. tomorrow I must get a road taco. I love street food, it's my favorite! |
