Enjoying your trip report....My Dad is on his way to Puerto Vallarta, and is staying in Navojoa tonite (217 KM) north of Guasave.

If you see a frozen hombre on a DR650, thats him... He had a cold ride out of Yuma the other day.

Looks like the the road sofa is treating you right.

I might have seen your dad. is his bike and luggage mostly black? I saw such a bike on the road between guaymas and san Carlos this afternoon.

I am enjoying the road sofa very much, thanks

Yes... it could have been him, about the right timeline. He's wintered down in Puerto Vallarta since the early 80's, so he is heading home...

no way, dylan this is just a wee ride though mexico.

today I rode through guaymas. I was thinking of taking the ferry to baja, but would have to wait till tomorrow and it takes all night - hmmmm.

I love fishing boats!

decided to call it an early day and stay in san carlos

why do they put these giant humps on the road? I can't seem to find the just right speed to hit them

Laugh Ferries

Hi Molly
After your comments and watchful eye on my RR, it's nice to be able to return the favour, especially as it's a cold, wet winter over here and I'm loving the sunshine of Mexico.

I've taken that overnight ferry - it has a great bar with some enthusiastic dance partners

Ride Safe.

Will do....He did a trip down a few month ago and also mentioned that he didn't see anyone else on moto's either.

Normally ride the libre, but heard the toll roads are 50% off for moto's?

Dear Miss Molly,

You ride "between" them ... . I wrecked a rim on a rental car in Oaxaca hitting those things. They make the topes a welcome intrusion.

But I am sure you knew that...as you have survived so far and seem to be having a good ride.

My teacher-friend says there are two things he likes about teaching.....: "July and August !"

It seems that you have added to the list of such endeavours.

wow. thanks for all the replies. it's hard to believe such gnarley adventurers are reading my little rr.

tiffany: I decided against the ferry. something about being on a motorbike and enjoying setting my own schedule made me want to skip having to be in a particular place at a particular time. but darn! I didn't know about the dancing
by the way, do you know my secret santa, she must be British too?

mark: sadly, the only beer I had that whole trip was in Beijing, and it was terrible!

bgunn: the toll roads are indeed half price. only one dude tried to charge the full fare, but I just handed him the correct fare and smiled :)

motoged: I try to ride between but often hit it a little off and a tiny tank slapper - yikes!

I crossed into Arizona today. I was dying to camp, sol I popped into the Organ Pipe National Monument to camp. I'll pop back over tomorrow and ride across, probably to mexicali - you see I got so focused on the road I forgot to get tacos :0
manana!

Hey molly! It me, it me, it's Billy P! (My impression of Ernest T Bass.) I was just heading to SFMC and was thinking about you. You have a fan base there! :) When you get back I am determined to buy you a drink at the San Gregorio Store! It looks like you are having fun! See you soon!
