If I was HRC with 30 staff and 10-20 million being spent is it fair to say the performance is disappointing ?

Might have been better to stick with the Honda Europe crfs from last year...
Why did they not use same tanks as GHR? The set up they use is big enough and well made!

Top 9 should be on the stage. No signs of life on the trackers, yet.

THIS is what is wrong with the "re-seeding" rule... favours the sunglasses and motorhome set WAAAAAAY too much. While there is an (ever so slight) situation where it is appropriate (if a rider stops at an accident... if there is some reason a rider is delayed by the organisation or similar)... but just getting farmed back up the front because you are on a factory team or have a "name" is completely ass backwards as to the morals of a marathon desert rally.

rant pause...

All today's links have been posted earlier and are easy to find in the Cliff Notes thread.

Arent this years stages shorter though ?

How in gods name can HRC make the tanks to small?

I don't buy that shit sandwich. The bike was built by Japanese engineers - they would def have thought of fueling and distance.

Plus you can equip a Crf with close to 50 liters off the shelf !!! Rear seat tank of 25 liters and front of 25.

have to agree with you.... those tanks should have been made plenty big enough... for whatever reason the bikes are using more fuel than they expected...

That's my point. There is zero logic to it. Part of having a bad day ox fighting your way back. Why should the organizers dilute this by 'disrupting the market'. They don't reseed in motor cross - why the fuck in Dakar ? ( is it cos they lost the war and we in the west had to help them frogs)??

There is no way JC should be reseeded.

I recall that they do reseed elite riders for that reason - i.e. top 50.

This topic has been thrashed on previous occaisons so batten down the hatches

Put the book down for a bit, and smell the (HRC) coffee... JC has't posted (m)any (if any) top 30 times since joining the show in Marocco...

if i was in honda euro or GHR (and poss others i dont know about), i'd be a bit dirty if HRC didnt approach, investigate and take seriously their background, research and experience built up in numerous marathon rally type events over the years.
hrc had to have done this homework, what have they done with it?

mind you, still only stage 4. maybe squirrel despressed is not the only one that can fox a couple of stages
