This is a little blurry...But if CDP swapped engines tonite with a "B" team member, would that count as a engine change??

Was lost on the stage, now I'm found.

CN thread is updated with most of the stage, just catching up now.

Soooo, broken fifth gear on marathon day. Somehow I can imagine high-ranking orange brass laying heavy on Lavigne to find a way to get Despres' bike serviced. We saw the different assistance route on Neil's map, but I wouldn't be surprised if something was still to happen.

Maybe there's a rule change on this night's bulletin board coming up...

Mr Cummings is not going to take this lying down. He shrugged off the Matt Fish snowball and is going to have good rest today at last! A Dakar hero!

Thanks for the photos as well!

7P2 GROUP ELITE
1) Before technical scrutineering, Elite Group riders must ensure a hole allowing the fixing of 1mm
seals for the entire bolt attaching the engine to the frame (and the 2 bolts in the case of a twin
cradle frame) on pain of a €150 fine.

I believe that it would, yes, as it would if they had to split the cases to get at the transmission (even if that same motor were returned to the bike.
