Over here it's K1 from 1996.
Peter Aerts just killed a man.
On Eurosport2, though.

DeVilliers reckons it was only 1.5 metres deep

Nasser may not be familiar with judging water levels.
Oil on the other hand ...

If it's emanating from Spain, I know it. I woke up to a text about that, checked the rule book still groggy and didn't see it, but now that I think about it...Hmmmm.

My bad, I thought you were talking about giving up on Dakar. Penalty reviewed and the call overturned.

Back to regular programming.

Cyril, Faria and Helder will be in a bad mood if this all thing goes in to a trackgate/RBgate/raingate.

So KTM & HRC will fight for the all of the stage, no?

Oh my,,,,, you've left out "Trannygate".

1) In all categories: the frame, the engine, and spare engines.
The machine and the rider are associated by a race number and will be identified by marks at scrutineering. These 3 elements are indissociable during the length of the race.
Are considered as part of the frame: all parts welded surrounding the engine and supporting the steering column and the mounting points for the rear suspension. The frame and the engine cases, already marked at scrutineering at the start, or all other parts, may at any moment have additional marks added.

2) All fraud noted, and notably the fact of presenting as intact, identification marks that have been retouched, will result in the Disqualification of the rider or team which aided or facilitated the infraction, and that without affecting further sanctions which may be demanded to the national federation of the rider or accomplice.

3) All changes of engine must be indicated to the Clerk of the Course or at the Technical Steward, at 09.00 pm the latest, on pain of a 15’ penalty.

So, this looks like whatever happens, you may only may swap your engine with one of your own spare engines that were marked as yours during scrutineering. You're not allowed to use a competitor's engine.

Seems like the Spanish picked up on this and aren't very happy.

Brit ES now showing the series of "top ten" fillers that they always do when the Dakar is delayed, I think I've seen them at least ten times now

Just found this in the twitter world

Belén Francia ‏@Bvelenkosa
(1) #Dakar He mirado el reglamento y entiendo que es ilegal el cambio de motor de un piloto a otro. Lo mismo que han dicho en teledeporte.
