Looking at the local time, Despres actually came through just ahead of Barreda. They passed the WP 10 min ago.

Ms Sainz is getting a real taste of the Dakar yesterday/today. She is making steady progress and is threw wp4. Times are in the triple digit ranking. Fatigue combined with back of the pack dust I suspect. Good to see her still pushing on. Not particularly her, but every time I see a top rider have issues but keep pushing on just to finish a stage, my belief in the values of the Dakar are replenished. This year in particular we are seeing top guys way back in the field due to mechanicals, crashes and nav errors....I'm stoked to see they are still racing as they must be struggling big time in their mental game.

Questions must be running in their heads...

Why risk my career and or life to fight for a 30+ finish
I should call it quits and just come back next year
I can't believe I'm behind Lyndon Poskitt...who is this guy
