Forcast shows some showers in the area yesterday, today and maybe tomorrow. This would firm up the sand,like it did last year. Good for racers, bad for f5 spectators

We had 51 in the bivouac at one point last year, it was crazy. Almost to hot to get up and get another beer. I can clearly recall wondering how on earth someone could put on bike gear and exert themselves in those temperatures...

Does it cool down at all during the night?
Night time heat is when you realize that you can't escape the oven.

If that's the case they could see mud and flooding.

This is a track west of the 40/Belen and NE of Fiambala, I was heading south. Looking at the map they may well be running on this road. I took this pic in Feb.
