Tomorrow might be good for Chaleco but bad for most others. Was Fiambala the nemesis of Safariberg? A replay of his rally raidio call might be in order to preview tomorrow's stage. |

Lyndon's Stage 10 call
No way to dance around it, Stage 10 was a tough day on the job for Lyndon. Things came unglued in a high speed corner resulting in a high side that banged up both bike and rider alike. Tomorrow is the famed (and oft dreaded) Fiambala stage, so hopefully they'll both be fully recovered. Rest up, Lyndon. We look forward to a happier call tomorrow!
![]() ![]() Direct download: http://traffic.libsyn.com/rallyraidio/13D14.mp3 --------------------------------------------- Public Radio fundraising notice: (Thanks to those who have already chipped in!) Last year, through the generosity of the listeners, we were able to cover the cost of Neduro's phone bill for the communication costs to RallyRAIDio and ADVRider throughout the Dakar. If you've enjoyed Lyndon's call ins and interviews on this edition, consider chipping in a few $$, € €, or ££ toward the cause. Many hands make light work, and based on our experience with Ned last year, the tab will run handily into 4-digit territory (sans decimals). It would be wonderful if we could take this burden off of Lyndon's shoulders. To be clear, Lyndon has not asked for this, and there is no expectation on my part or his that any part of the phone bills be defrayed (indeed, I suspect that he will not know that I've solicited donations until after the event is over). For those so inclined, RallyRAIDio @ g mail . com (no spaces) is the RallyRAIDio email addy to which paypal can be sent. Thanks for your support.

Also from what we heard when Sam had his accident in Dec and spent a week or so with Johnny and his family they are amongst the nicest and most hospitable people one could meet. The highlight of his stay ( if there could ever be one under the circumstances) was watching Johnny's film whilst sat on his couch ![]() Keep at it JC and get yourself to the end ![]()

Guess he had his oops moment for the rally. Nobody kicks your ass like your own hindsight, but if anything, I think he's sharpened his own focus on his goals set. So there's that good that came out of the day.
He also said that the stage has been shortened to 190 kms tomorrow. It was booked as 221 kms on special, I wonder if that 30km loop in the dunes has been removed. Numbers match.

Cliff Notes
Flood & Packmule,
Thank you for taking the time to prepare the daily cliff notes thread, it's a god send for a quick catch up when work won't go away. Just a thought to add a little more value, as the last note of each day, could you include a single post which specifies what page number the cliff notes take you to in this F5 thread up to this point? This would allow someone to read yesterdays cliff notes and then see "This takes you to page 867 in the F5 thread." so we know where we need to start reading from to catch up on today's activities? ![]() Once again, many thanks for your efforts - greatly appreciated. ![]() Kind regards, Fin.
