Cars are on the special, with Rubby leading out.

Going to be a long day for Pyn, indeed.

Since we talking fuel issues here i got to think of #35 Berglund on a early stage did run out of fuel as his fuelmap was to running on the fat side and thee had not been any testing for dune riding. The put a new map in and the bike has little less power but no fuel issues. He is carrying 27L on the bike.

Well many more don't appear on the waypoints. Stay tuned to http://monitor.trackingdakar.nl/ and watch Liefhebber (paardenmepper? ) for example who just appeared on CP1. Good job :)

We're not talking about having an extra 15L on a 660 Rallye here. As you say, the %'s are small in this case. I know these guys are pushing at the ragged edge, and will look for any advantage available, but the risk doesn't justify -- especially given the issues they've already had with the Honda.
Yes, and yes again. Except this does not explain his past fuel issues. Add to that gallons vs Litres...or anything silly like that... and you have yourself the makings of a royal ....

If its not refuelling, it cant be electrical even though they said that.. (simply because they did not interview him, and that is very telling), I think (insert Japanses accent here:) It wars a problem with tha fuewal calculations!

COME ON PYN!

I"m hoping that it was something on the bike - not your foot causing you problems. Actually - I'm hoping there was nothing wrong with anything ant that maybe you stopped for a coupe of pictures, or there is some tactical stroke of genius that you are playing here....Secretariat?

Yes but someone also needs to tell Carlton that in Spanish the S is pronounced RodrigueS or RodrigueZ even but Rodrigue? WTF is that - some pseudo french english version?

Do you remember that Eurosport footage of Helder our front in the lead on his Yamaha and then walking around scuffing the dirt because he had no fuel! Silly, but these things catch the best of us at times.
Another possibility is that maybe the 5 tank design can't utilize the last remaining liters when it's empty... dunno.

Since he has ran out of gas before, and then just repeated the same mistake twice in one Dakar, then we need Troy to make him a dunce hat, sit him in the corner and blast him with Barbra Streisand records on the hi fi all day

Helder would probably settle for the Portuguese pronunciation.
