If I was 40 years younger I would put my name down. Russia is unique.

Hey Filosof
Are you planning on making this an annual thing? Sounds really interesting, but just too short notice for me. I wish you all the best - hope to see some footage afterwards :-)

I am very interested. I am planning a similar trip and you have prompted me to sort stuff out. We will ride from London and get to Moscow. Planning to get to Vladivostok and crate bike to Seattle.
Then we fly back to London and then collect from Seattle a few months later.(2014?) for trip to Boston and back to London. I have 12 year old BMW R1150 GS Adventure. My wife is pillion. We bring tent and sleeping bags plus cooking gear. We have done North Cape Norway and Erg Chebbi Morocco so I think we will cope, Count me in.

There seems to be some mess with the dates on your website. The start will be at the end of June or July?
Anyone has any experiences shipping bike back from Vladivostok? How much it would cost and so on? Getting back is something that holds me back from signing in. Driving all the way back to Estonia, alone, is a bit scary for me at the moment. If someone is intrested to drive back with me, slowly, not in 10 days anymore, then this plan starts to like me even more
