Tires would not have saved me at that intersection! I am so glad those bars are on my bike, damn thing would be a mess right now without em'! Like Chris said, one check at a time, tires coming...

Gear is super important too. Have'n the balls to give it a try is the important part. After that,it kinda becomes an obsetion, sickness and a addiction all wraped in one.

Onwards and Upwards on Artesian Springs Road
![]() (NF 6N07)...lots of "hero" sections and alternatives along the way...lots of black diamond stuff to come back to on the little bike ![]() ![]() At some point I went from 6N07 to 6N08? Not off course, since I don't really have one and I begin to descend UpST8 screwed with this post 02-04-2013 at 11:32 AM |

All in all the bike came out of this great. I was going ~20-25 when I went down. No complaints. And thanks for the offers.

![]() tires are coming... ![]() On to Quarry Road from here and back up...little more wide open, hence the speed increase...still hyper watchful for the dirtbike or quad coming the other way or worse...jeep/truck ![]() |

From Quarry...I meandered back up Bouquet Canyon to Elizabeth Lake and onto Pine Canyon road heading toward Gorman...in need of fuel and a snack...i had an idea...crazy, stupid perhaps, but I wanted to try...
![]() ![]() Last time I was up on Mt. Pinos there was a dirt road, covered with ice and snow at the time, that ran from Mt. Pinos to Lockwood Valley...well considering the temps were high recently I wondered if I could get down it.... Short answer; NO ![]() Long answer: Had to try, well no...no I didn't...retrospect..kind of dumb to do, especially without a witness...it was steep, ice and snow covered...but I could see the dirt down the road teasing me...didn't stand a chance...front end washed out about 20 feet into it...was going to ride the dirt on the side, but the drop off made me nervous so I was going to high side of the road... ![]() Good News: A-Spec crash bars worked brilliantly!! The handle bar didn't even touch the ground and no damage some sand paper and a rattle can can't fix. ![]() Took two more drops and some huffing to Austin Powers her around on the small dirt patch...back up and down the mountain to Lockwood to 33 to home.... Good day, missed ya Moe.ron ![]() |

Snow, ice, bank with a long ways down and you are out alone. You remind me of someone else I know.
