A few pics from this past weekend. The Grom was a hit everywhere we went.

It would have been easier with another pair of hands. The rack mounts between the subframe and the rear fender and lining up the holes is a little fiddly.

Of all your mods I get the biggest kick out of the "Danger Jet Blast" sticker.

The "Danger Ejection Seat" sticker cracks me up.

Did some riding around today. Getting a little more power the more I ride and I've only got under 250 miles on it. Filled up on my way home and got 103.95 mpg. (1st 81, 2nd 90)

I got my Grom back from the 600 mile service. It's working like a charm!

Since I came back from that scooter rally I attended last weekend and I ran the Grom at top speed for most of the trip back, I feel that the Grom was pulling stronger especially in the higher revs. I can confirm it now because I can run it to 60 mph (I used to do 56-57 mph). It also feels stronger around 50 mph and gets to 55 mph a little quicker. Downside is that it has started to shake a bit more (like a single). Anyone knows if the Grom is rubber mounted?

I gassed up this morning. My mpg dropped to 99 mpg. I guess running the Grom at full speed for 50-60 miles took its toll on the mpg.

So on Thursday I finally got a chance to pick up my KLX from the dealer, I left it there when I bought the grom. What a difference, so much taller it was wierd at first and with a big 17' knobbie up front the steering was heavy. I'm 100% happy with the grom for around town and backroads. I wasn't riding the KLX that much faster on the way home. Just a little more solid 55-60 which I am hoping the grom will get to as it breaks in or with small mods.

Where the KLX shines is the dirt roads, I took the grom up my favorite local one and the nice smoothly graded section was fine, but the rutted and baseball sized rock sections I was cringing on. It's not going to replace the KLX there.

I've always wanted something bigger though ala F800GS or even R1200GS and comparable bikes. I'm left wondering should I keep the KLX and eventually get a bigger bike or ditch it and get a bigger bike sooner. I'm also left wanting to replace the KLX with something a little more dirt orientated instead of the supermoto with 17" knobbies.

Long story short. I LOVE the Grom!

Have to agree...love your Grom. Just found this thread. Could be danger to the budget. :-)
