The Honda Japan website has a section on "best pictures" for 2013. Here's the one for the Grom:

Weather in the Northeast has been snowy and cold, but an unexpected couple of warm(er) days are coming. Hope to get out on the Grom a little bit in the next couple days.

One downside to the fender eliminator. She's a dirty girl now

I left my rear fender just so I didn't get a wet back. I got caught in about 15 minutes of steady rain a while back with just my jean jacket on. When I got home the wet had not soaked through my front yet but my back was soaked!

So much for leaving the useful fender. It's coming off.

Considering.
Very cool.
How's the ride.
I'm 6'1, how badly will I resemble a clown in training?
OK

OK
The seats pretty hard, the clutch lever is a long reach, it's underpowered, I have trouble getting my boot under the shifter, the stock tires are really crappy,

But I love it.

With long legs I just sit a bit further forward to get under the bodywork lip, it feels a bit odd the first couple km but becomes natural fairly quick.

When I get my own I will make the seat a bit softer and taller and use some adjustable rearsets to get the pegs and controls in a more suitable position. The bars are fine stock but I may use some risers depending how they feel with the new seat.

I am 6ft tall and I look big on the Grom but not ridiculous. It's a real blast to ride. Yes your ass will hurt after about 30 minutes in the saddle but that just means you get to stop and let people appreciate your bike more often.

gromforum.com - I'm on there the most and I'm on hondagrom.net too. It's kind of tough with just one product that the forums kind of repeat themselve most of the time.

Into the 50's? Man I would be racking up the miles. Different climates, I guess. I find my ability to brave the weather depends on how my body feels that day. Sometimes I can be outside in 20 degree weather for half an hour and feel fine and sometimes I can feel cold in 40 degree weather.

Tomorrow it's supposed to hit 44 degrees, I'm tempted to get out for another ride.

Believe it or not but 50 degrees here is cold - actually 50 degrees for the low temp is cold here. Summers often top 100 degrees and it consistently is at or above 95 for several months. It usually gets better by the end of February for us though. So 2 more months. C'mon, only 2 more months of this. I know I can do it.

While living in San Antonio I was blown away by how hot it felt in the summer. It made Vegas feel tame.

It's a wet heat.

We have been to our daughter's in Phoenix when it has been 116... but, it's a dry heat. So is a freakin' oven - and I don't want to be in there, either. North in the summer, south in the winter... goin' where the weather suits my clothes.
