Cleaning Crankcase Breather
![]() I can see some gritty stuff from the top hole. What's the best way to clean it? Is there some sort of element filter in there that can get damaged if I soak it in parts/brake cleaner? |

What's it from? Older stuff had a kind of heavy steel wool, similar to a "chore boy".
You're not going to hurt that stuff with any solvent. Well, any normal solvent.
