So, the Subaru dealer called me tonight... (BRZ thread)

And they just unloaded three BRZs, and one was already being sold. Did I want to come and take a look at the cars?

Well, I am looking at it. It's in my garage. I bought it

It's gorgeous, goes like stink, and that was just on the way home from the dealership. Pics soon.

STI version due ou tin a few years. It should go fast enough to leave the stink behind. We opted for the WRX 5 door.

Congrats. Hurry up on the pics. Wonderful cars. I wanted one to replace my Miata but decided to keep the Miata for the RWD and get an Abarth 500 instead

be nice if I could find one on the lot around here, most seem to be sold while in transit and the few that end up on the lots are the sedans.

Congrats on the BRZ, I'd love to pick one up used for a track car some day in the future.

Sick and Wrong!

Its just sick and wrong to make a statement like " I just bought a BRZ" without any pictures!

Congratulations! Have fun this weekend!

Congrats! I've only seen one FRS in the wild so far. I don't think the local dealer has any as I drive past every week.

I heard TRD is going to have a supercharger available for those to add to their existing BRZ/FRS.

Subaru sales were up 34.7% in 2012. They are magnificent cars and they have one of (if not the) highest customer loyalties of any brand. I have a 2006 WRX and it is the best car I've ever owned.

Congratulations on the new Subaru. I was planning on buying a new 2013 Subaru Forester, but when I found out the 2014 model (totally redesigned), will be out this March, I decided to wait. I am still a little hesitant about the new Forester CVT in the 14's, but I'm still planning on the purchase.

Yeah, i suck, no pics till Tomorrow.

I got the Premium, in white. I have about 50 miles on the car, had to work today, but tomorrow will drive it like it was done in the commercials. Ok, maybe not.
Six speed manual, btw.
My 130 lb dog didn't want to get in at first, it was not his car, which is the 02 Cvic Si hatch. Believe it or not, interior room is comparable. The front area is the about the same, the back seat has zero leg room, but the seat are big enough for him, but i will have to do something about the rear drive hump between the seats (cover seat, and put foam under each side) or get him to like it with the back seats down. His fav thing to do is to hang his head out the window from the front seat anyway, and he knows how to put counter pressure on the sides of the car with his body when he feels me whip it through turns.

It really handles excellently. I now know what all the accolades are about. The fuel trip meter is trippy1 i can go from 117mpg to 5.1 mpg really fast.. I don't understand the navigation/radio/etc, nor the traction control settings yet, but I have not really read much in the manual.

Look forward to reading more about your experience! The few that I've seen on the road are really sharp looking.

Ok, just did a little ride through a 30 mile loop in the local little mountains/forest, that I do on my Hawk all the time. I know every nuance.

Wow. I can see myself selling my moto. Really. This is fun. I had the traction control on, the car corners flat, I could feel with a little less assistance I could break the rear loose and oversteer around a corner. I won't play with that till I know the car. That said, all the reviews say it is buzzy, but coming from a 10 year old Civic it is quiet as a vault.:loll

I kept the radio off, the sound going through the gears is exhilarating. I drove mostly in third, fourth, fifth, occasionally second in a few tight uphill bends. Cars would disappear behind me, not because I was going that fast, but because I was not slowing down for the turns, barely touching the brakes, downshifting, and onward. No body roll. I am hooked.
I took some pics, but have to go back to work will post them later.

I have not had a rear wheel drive car since my first, a 69 Camaro. It is funny, how all the years of front drive dynamics, getting used to this car took one long drive. Last night I was doubting my purchase, not today.

Hot! And nice color too. White in that car is gorgeous. Get some dark tint on that bad boy.
