There is an upper rad which was located behind the front headlight, I have removed it I hope this wont affect the temp too much, however now I have to replumb the system in order to bypass this rad

Find a radiator from a V65 Sabre or Magna it should cure your radiator issue.

Found
I have hooked up with the guys at Ontario Cycle Salvage, They are going to help me find the parts I need. They have a rad out of a saber or menga as well as guages and lights for me to look at, sounds like they will have what ever I need for the build.

I had an 83 Interceptor. I liked the riding position. The previous owner had painted it glow in the dark paint. It was 80's tastic.

I love these bikes! In 1985 the VFR500 was all the rage in the motorcycle press. I ended up getting one, followed by a 750 (before the new import tariff caused Honda to make them as 700's), followed by a 1,000 similar to yours that I ended up putting a Russ White turbo on along with a wheelie bar. Incredible bikes, and I still like them better than most of the more modern inline 4's.
Have fun with your project. I think your bike is an iconic representation of that area of sport bikes. The TRAC antidive frontend was a big deal in it's day too. |

Well after months of hibernation, I am back at it. Actually over the winter I painted all of the body fairings black and have gone through the wiring with an electrician we use here to work on our boats. Now that I have better direction, I can start to put it back together, but after painting everything, I have decided to let our vinyl guy wrap everything with a carbon fiber wrap (how 2000's) the beauty is that I can get a carbon fiber imprinted vinyl for the seat which I think will look very cool. The only thing I am missing is new mufflers
Any help?
