dear bikers all over Europe, bad news for everybody.

It's currently being discussed a regional law in the Emilia-Romagna region (the long one over Tuscany) to forbid the use of any kind of off-road lane to any kind of motorized vehicle, including DOWNHILL BIKES - yeah, those little things w/o engines- for they are deemed dangerous and an hazard to the enviroment

you'll be able to go offroad only with a permit and only if the local authority has any plan to do so. fees will reach up to 2000 Euros, and bikes will be confiscated to ensure the payment.

There's little but hardcore mobilization here.

Our fear is that this kind of law is nothing but a moneybringer and it will be soon applied to the entire nation. Highways fees had been increased again this year and that is something.

Holy crap!.....and to think I was just complaining this morning to my wife about Michigan Department of Natural Resources increasing my fees from $5.00 to $11.00 per vehicle for a permit.
