Givi Topbox red pannel
What does the red panel in the lid of my givi top box actually do? i cant think of any purpose for it?

It's a document holder.

I removed mine since I don't use it.

Although now that I look closely at the photo, it looks like someone has wired in some electronics in the document holder. Maybe a light. Maybe also some aftermarket auxiliary brake lights. I can't be sure, but that's a clever idea for the document holder.

It actually gets in the friggin way. Take it out. You will never miss it. The stoopid "clamps" that hold it up, are too weak to put even a registration paper. What a Royal POS in a nice top case. I took mine off the 3rd day I owned the case.

yeah i put that stuff on it, but when i was doing it, i was like wtf does this red thing actually do anyway, it doesnt appear to be some sorta support or brace.. never thought it actually opened purposefully, now i can actually see it.
