United motors 650r question?

I went to look at a 09 united motor 650r that was on Craigslist with only 500 miles for $1300 . The bike was purchased new at a local dealer the owner is a young women. She got the bike new and said it was just to big and just did not ride it for two years. She decided to sell it but it would not start so she takes it back to the dealer and after a few days they tell her it needs the carbs cleaned and she said it was some crazy high price. So her boy friend picks it up and brings it to her house. It sits sometime . Then one day she notices some parts missing (the carbs). She calls the dealer but they don't know what she is talking about.
I felt so bad for her that i told her i would try and help her out. So my question is a 07 650r the same as the 09 because i found a set of carbs off a 07. Thanks

I think the lady was robbed by the dealer. Did some research to find that 1 Feb 2010 UM motors closed the doors. Having finance problems and parts problems with no parts out there for warranty. I think the bike in question is a Chinese Junhang (sp?) I wouldn't be suprised if the dealer cannibalized the parts to fix another bike. Unless.......the boyfriend is a worse cad. Sad to see someone taken like that.

Yes it's pretty sad when a dealer takes advantage of a young girl buying her first bike.
I was going to try and help her get it running so she could get some of her money back but don't want her putting more in a lost cause. Thanks for the info.

It's a relabled hyosung gt 650,see them for parts?
And it's not chinese.
