Cam chain replacement question.

Any tips on getting this little bastard out? I'm doing my cam chains am I'm stuck here. I can't get it out.

Don't know what you allready tried, but basically it's an allen bolt, RH thread. I don't know the size of the allenkey from the top of my head. IIRC, the frametube is not blocking access.

Well I got the bolt out. That's the needle bearing that supports the gear that the timing chain rides on

a flat blade screw driver that fits into the bore, then torqued out of alignment to grab the part, then pulling out will also work, provided the chain has zero tension on it.

yep the chain is loose. I'll have to wait a few days to get back in there due to school and work

Google search time. I actually tried that with a bit of hose but i could not get it to stick well enough.

Any store that sells DIY stuff. Don't know how the DIY stores in the US are called.

The above method is frankly the same. Even a tube, like u mentioned, should work if it's the inside right diameter so it can expand enough to put pressure and grip.

And no thx, just a beer and some adventure stories wil do.
