First I would like to thank Docking Pilot for planting the seed , and Sourjohn for doing the legwork to make the trip possible.
We had a five man crew that never had a cross word and had a blast. Rick M and I drove from Texas to Buena Vista , Co. to start our trip. We then rode to Yampa, Co. to meet the other guys and hit our modified Forever West Trail. Rick M TW 650  Big Rock on the side of road  Hot Chick Penny's Dinner  Local Mercantile Yampa ,Co  Yampa is straight out Old West  Miss Kitty, you home?  Just don't idle too long or you will be in BIG TROUBLE!  Hot Chick in the Bar !  We met the other guys and start the trail. Yes we are Happy!

Yes big ups to DockingPilot and his crew for sharing their trip back two winters ago and giving us inspiration to do this one. We talked about it for quite a while and finally pinned down a date that would work. Unfortunately we couldn't do the whole thing but what we did was fantastic.
We had quite a mix of bikes. I came from Kentucky with a trailer carrying my KLR and grabbed two from St Louis on the way out. Jeff's XChallenge  Kevin's DR650  BigDon's F800  Rick on the TW650 (Versys) I have lust!  My KLR  This was as clean as these bikes would be for the next week as we attempted this loop of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.  Coming up: Day one from Yampa to Echo Park.  John

I knew it was going to be a great trip.
This was the view out the windshield on the way out.  Kansas windmills. I'll get online tonight and get my day #1 loaded. All I'll say at this point is, that it's hard to imagine this trip going any better for the first five days. A couple of leaky front shock seals. That's it.
