Mounting a tank bag on an '06 TE610

I'm looking at tank bags for my TE610, and it looks like the only easily accessible parts of the frame to attach the bag to would require the strap on the left-hand side to touch part of exhaust. To all the TE owners out there: how are your tank bags attached?

I use the Wolfman Enduro tank bag. It doesn't touch the exhaust.

What did you attach the rear straps to? Do they go under the tank? Also, have you used the rain cover that comes with that bag?

I use a Wolfman Enduro tank bag too. I have my rear straps running thru the tank shrouds and around the frame.

Here's a couple of pictures that may help.
