![]() I bet there is a fair chance they could fall off their Tsk, when I turn up at a VMCC day. If I ever get it finished

You'll get a "Tsk" followed by a deep sigh and a shake of the head for what you're doing
Judging by all the Renthal handlebars you might be right.
In North America you can probably show up with a fuel-injected, disc braked, monoshock Enfield and ride! Pre-65 trials bikes are uncommon and turnouts are nothing like in the UK or the continent. "Rules" as such for these bikes are a bit more loose.
The exaggerated point was that the rules are much more lax in North America."Pre-65" isn't even necessarilly the class name or cutoff period for older classic trials bikes and the rules vary depending on the organization you are competing with.Your Mikuni carb will probably be fine, along with other later components as the rules are no where as tight as in UK or European classic events. Enjoy!

Looking pretty good there Dave, have you an ally tank too? [/QUOTEI have an English tank off some competition Enfield (Fury)? Its steel and is maybe 2 US gallons and shaped like the original only much smaller. The motorcycle will be heavy no doubt but that’s what riders had back in the day as I understand. I am planning on alloy fenders but that’s about my only concession to lightening the motorcycle except of course removing road gear and unnecessary brackets and tabs at least in its initial inception.
