If my coworkers spent as much time working as they do talking about sports, we'd get some stuff done!
I personally am not interested in any sports at all. I will go if I'm offered free tickets, because it's a social thing, but I really don't give a hoot which guy grabbed a ball and ran away with it.

I think it gives people a common thing to talk about but beyond that I'm pretty meh about sports.
That said I do like going to a baseball game on a nice spring day. It has nothing to do with the game though; they could be doing interpretive dance for all I care as long as the beer and dogs keep coming. I've got one buddy that has no interest in football but pointed out that Superbowl Sunday is the buffalo wing holiday which I can agree with. |

My buddy has a big house and will be having a party. Last year, there were probably 30 people there. It's a great party. The wives and the casual watchers will be downstairs. More serious viewing and yelling goes on upstairs. I'll be splitting my time between the two.

What's with the "we" shit? "We won," spoken by some geriatric three hundred pounder. Do most people actually have so little of value in their own lives that they have to identify with people with whom they have nothing in common let alone never met?
![]() I am so uninterested in games played by overpaid dumbasses who are worshipped as though they were jeebus that I have no idea when I should take advantage of America's stupidity in order to go riding. Go [insert random team here]! When exactly is the Stupid Bowel, day and time, preferably Mountain Time?

What is this "Super Bowl" of which you speak?

Seriously. I used to go to a sports bar for every college/pro playoff/bowl game when I was stationed in Offutt AFB. When I got back from Korea my interest waned and nearly disappeared after Kuwait. I love watching motorcycle racing and some other sports but lost interest in idolizing millionaires prancing around on TV. I have not missed the Super Bowl, other than while in Korea, in the past 30 years. I love the commercials and it gives me a great excuse to drink too much beer. Try watching it with friends just ONCE.

I'm gonna go for a bicycle ride in the AM then play underwater hockey in the PM. Traffic should be light.

One of my best life long friends is in top management (upper director level) at the NFL, I emailed her yesterday.. "Is the Super Bowl this weekend?" I was being serious.
She was not amused. ![]() Some of you guys need to be over at my house this weekend, why? Cause my wife is having a Super Bowl party inviting all her tennis playing girls friends and some of them are HOT! ![]() Me, I'm going to make myself scarce.

I thought it was the Baltimore Colts? What are the Ravens? A new team? I read a thread about a woman who paid $5k+ for some non existent tickets on Craigslist so Ticketmaster sent her a couple of freebies, and she was a 49ers fan, so I guess they're playing. I'll probably work some, and maybe go skiing. Should have the hill pretty much to myself.

I miss underwater hockey! its the best training for breath hold spearfishing!
In San Diego I would always surf during superbowl, the water was always empty. I don't think Ecuador cares all that much and all the ex-pats here are like 150 years old Mike

When they started paying the spoiled brats elevendy billion dollars a season. I quit. I gave it up completely when I decided to take my family to a basketball game here in Orlando. $25 to park and $45 bucks for the nose bleed seats. family of four with chit food well over $250
Most of my family are sports freaks. I will be watching the Superbowl... but my weekends are not devoted to watching men slap each other on the ass.

I'm with you. I don't know the rules to any sports and could give a damn about watching other people play games. Let's ride.
