I have two Keihin FCR carbs that I picked up second hand that I might like to fit to one or two of a couple of project bikes in the next year...
My problem is this; I have no idea what model of FCR carbs they are and have no clue what bikes they came off. I'm told they're each off single cylinder KTM's. Does anyone have a link to a PDF carby identification guide or something similar?

jetting specs, carb bore dia and fcr generation would narrow it down if you really want to know what model it came off of.

there are basically 3 different fcr's. down draft, side draft, and mx. you most likely have the fcr-mx if they did come off a ktm 4t. put a pic up and that's about it - what are you trying to identify? which kind of fcr, or bore/etc? it's highly unlikely that you can just slap them on a random bike and they will work very well - prepare to change needle, pilot and main. possibly slide - all this stuff is cheap, except the slide...
EDIT: somehow i was thinking pwk when writing this. i started writing about fcr, and switched midstream to pwk - i.e.e changes.. duh.

Where did you get that information from, do you have a catalogue of different carbys or do you just know off the top of your head? I was hoping for someone to point me in the direction of some reference material so that I could look them up myself in the future or for anyone else who has a similar question that may find this thread in a search... anyone? |
