Laid down 2010 990 SMR rebuild
Well the story is in the Faceplant section for the ones that want to read.
Bought a few goodies today for the upcoming rebuild. 2010 SMT tank black (going to find out if it fits or not for sure) 2009 SMT tank spoilers Black Stock rear fairing piece, the black SMT ones may have caused silencer issues (these willget bed liner sprayed) Stock left footpeg Leo Vince Slip ons Autotune Power commander CRG mirror CRG bar ends FP levers black standard lenght Renthal black fat bars Mc Grath bend SMT handguards black SMT crash bars black R&G sliders F&R Still need to find a hammerhead shift lever in boot size 11 All removable parts that are silver or natural aluminum I'm going to have powdercoated in a matte black color (pegs, brake lever) I'll update as I get the parts Dirkamuhamajihad screwed with this post 03-12-2013 at 05:57 AM |

I think the SMT was cheaper than the SMR. My understanding is that the suspension on the two differs significantly as well as the front end body work

So I have some awesome news the 2010 SMT tank fits onto a 2010 SMR perfectly, you do have to buy a bolt, tank roller and a spacer. As soon as I'm done ill post pics of everything. Only thing needed is some plugs for the 4 threaded holes in the tank for the front headlight assembly. You also have to use the spoilers from a SMT which are cheaper than the SMR ones by $80 ish anyways.
