I got the feeling that this had some CGI too, but wrote it off to the poor lighting. Some of the moves where the heli's blades are near vertical and yet the heli somehow gains altitude don't seem possible.

At :21 there is a glitch in the video....

But...at 1:27 the palm trees are getting blown around by the rotor wash....hmmmmm

I saw that...some videos of guys flying it in Europe somewhere. Looks pretty good. Not a bad price when you figure in the costs of the gimbal, etc. I've got a little over 1/2 that in my tricopter with no gimbal.

Keep us posted on how it works...how durable it is.

EDIT:
I see there is no gimbal...hmmmm

I like my HT-FPV but gave up trying to program everything with the GPS and such. So, I saw this which is already set up out of the box, except for the transmitter settings, etc.

Nope, no gimbal. It is just a static, dampened Go Pro mount. Compared to the DJI Phantom that was $680, (I think they've since lowered the price to compete) this is a great deal at about 2/3rds that price. Plus it has Blade's product support and customer service.

I'll definitely reply with updates, etc.

The gun club across the road from my place had a big tournament last weekend. Here's a little aerial view.

Ah, nice! I didn't know you flew RC! Mine will be here tomorrow. I'll get some video up ASAP.

I have to make a "naked" frame for my GoPro 2 today since the frame it comes with only fits a GoPro 3.

I don't fly a lot, only helicoptors. I'm gonna have to build my own cam frame too.

BTW - I just upgraded to KK2 from 1.5 to 1.6++.

Wow - what an awesome change. Really worth it if you have a KK2.

Full-throttle stability-mode takeoff with GP2, homemade frame at 6000' altitude. Fairly quick! Then just some regular flying around.

Matt Hall at Simplecopter told me that 16 ++ was pretty good a few weeks ago. I didn't notice any difference when I upgraded, but you might.
