Nice work, Nick....and congrats on the new addition to the family. My youngest has wanted to be a NICU nurse since she could speak. Prayers that the little one will get big fast and be healthy.

Thanks! NICU nurses are pretty awesome! I hope she follows her dream!

Here is one from tonight. I stall it out at 10 seconds in. Kinda scary

Nice flying....I flew 6 packs thru my Crack Laser Lite tonight (FUI, too)
That thing is like a foamie pattern ship. It's on freaking rails. Just enough mass to do perfect knife edge spins, inverted flat spins, tumbles (sort of) and will knife edge at 2' off the deck forever in any attitude.

My favorite plane of all my 3D foamies. Get one....do it now.

Ha, really. I'd love to fly that high but there is no way to do it with Line-Of-Sight (LOS) flying with something this small. The only way is First-Person-View (FPV) and while it is cheap enough to get into, a lot of people don't care to and, technically, a HAM license is required.

I just finished rebuilding my Vtail last night.. I have my VisionAire with 4S and Hacker and my Vtail quad in my car for shenanigans later. I may have to leave work a bit early! ;)

More importantly, flight over 400' is verboten per the FAA.

Ugh - crashed my daily flyer once too often. Only thing flyable right now is the Hquad with the Naza - which I find boring.

I've been improving my figure 8's and getting faster - but am having trouble with elevation - exiting the turn I have to fight really hard to keep from nose diving - sometimes giving full elevator.

This is on a KK2 1.6++. Have tried increasing Height Dampening to 30,. The very first flight i tried after that adjustment was the nose dive that finally finished off my frame.

So now will lose precious days on not too cold, and not raining days building something quick and dirty to get back up in the air.

any advice on what's going on - other than that I just need to keep practicing and coordinating that elevation? I'm getting some serious nose dives though...

Anyway, this next build will be quick - nothing fancy as I have an Ecks frame on order! And the colours will match my bike

Who?

I don't see the need, personally, to go above 400'. But there are tons of You Tube videos of people doing it. Not legal, but...

I once had my RC sail plane, 8+ foot wing span (Airtronics Olympic II), way WAY up high, was flying along, having a good time in a strong thermal until a Cessna came along and flew UNDER it!
Surprised the hell out of me and I quickly brought it down lower! (true story)

If that's a Blade 350QX, it's 469 RTF, 419 BNF.

Oh, I'd *never* think about flying over 400'....at least as far as you know.
