Post pics of bikes you have OWNED

We all have or have had bikes that move us in ways that we never thought possible. From that crazy Hayabusa to that classic Harley, or anywhere in between.

Post up some pics of these 2 wheeled gems! The only rule, you must post pics of the bike you OWNED or OWN. No factory photos. Get the memories flowing!

My absolute favorite, out of the 50 or so bikes I've had, still sits in my garage. She's just a soul-mover every time I get near her!

Ginger- My dirty Goth Girl, '04 z1000

We bonded well! I'm not really even trying in the pic.

Then there is the earth-mover. SOOO much power. Many years, 9 different engines, and the ugliest paint job ever. Actually, the PO painted it, and I never changed it. Too busy with the go-fast goodies. I made many "newer and faster" bikes look silly with this beast. It was cramped, one of the most uncomfortable machines I ever road, broke all the time, but damn do I miss this bike!! Sadly, the guy who bought it did not treat it as well, and last I saw it, it was rocking bald tires, broken plastics, and looked like it went through a few tornados.

'94 GSXR1100.

The day I sold her. I took this pic right before I went to meet the new owner.

I remember getting my copy of Motorcyclist in the mail, and low and behold, the 2003 Z1000 was on the cover. I said I will have one of these bikes. March 2003 came and my local dealer had an orange one on the floor. I wasn't in the position to buy, so my wheels began turning on how to unload some things to get it. Well, fast forward to October. The Z was still sitting. I coundn't take it anymore, so I traded my perfectly good 2001 F4i in without consulting with my new bride ( we were married October 2002) and brought the Z home. My wife was pissed, but she had every right, we were just married, just bought a house, and our first child was only 4 months old. Anyway, we're still married, I still trade bikes a lot, and eveything is well. The Z1000 is the only bike that I've had an emotional attachment to. I may even try and get another some day.

My second favorite has to be the 2007 KLR 650 I had. It was my first dual sport, and it introduced me to an entire new side of riding. Don't really know why I sold either. I guess it was the "Grass is greener" syndrome. I'm on my third KLR now!

First road bike , XV1000 Midnight Special , was surprisingly good on the dirt . I lived 70 miles from the nearest bitumen road so it saw plenty of dirt roads .

The one that got away......

I've had other bikes that I've put a lot more miles on, but, other than the second bike posted here, I've never had one I put more thought into how I was going to set it up. Set it up for IronButt riding and then promptly bought the KTM and almost never rode the ZX again. Sold it this fall, but wish it was still in the garage. Damn orange bike has taken over my brain!

Now all I want to do is ride this one......

It's like a damn disease!
