nonsense got the better of me yesterday and this followed me home.

It is a bit cosmetically challenged but then again so am I. It seems to run out real good and I think my plan is to give it a good service, clean up all the PO fubars, and ride it for a while. It also came with Wixom bags and some of the hugest, chromeiest bag protectors I have ever seen. I bought it off the second owner who had it for his first bike and never rode it. The original owner is still here in town. Original purchase was right here in Denver.

All the electrical works after I replaced a fuse and the headlight.

And the best part.

Danged it all. I just locked it away in the trailer and have to head out for family stuff. The tires are brand new and just put on before I got it.

OK I found the receipt, They are Beck tires ?????

Hey guys,

I'm getting my long-suffering Eldo back on the road here. Waiting on a couple of parts so I started hacking up the brackets for this old Harley cop seat. I always got a leg cramp on the original seat and I think this will work better for that, but I can't decide if it's crazy ugly huge OR just kinda quirky cool looking. What do you think?

I got rid of that huge t-shaped metal bracket that the seat is bolted to. I fabricated up a small U-shaped clip with a hole in it that attached to the front mounting bolt for the old bracket and hangs down over the frame rails and lets me run a bolt through the stock front seat mounting hole. I bought a set of spring perches off of ebay and bolted them on the stock rear frame mount points. Installed the springs, then made a template and fabbed small ears that went from the top of the springs towards the back of the seat so I could attach it to the rear mounting bolts on the seat.

In hindsight, I could have saved some work if I removed the seat cover and drilled some new holes in the pan.

Fired up for the first time in years, took a quick trip up and down the drive, almost ready for the road again. I have to chase down a couple lil glitches and then figure out how to spring that silly Harley seat...
