Riding through Death Valley
Back in 1959, an HD dealer decided to try out the new Topper by riding it through Death Valley. Of course, he didn't want to ride it himself, so he got someone else to actually ride the scooter, but it did make the 600 mile trip without any mechanical problems. Once back at the dealership, they wiped it down and put it back on the sales floor...

That Topper reminds me a lot of the late Yamaha C3. I really wanted one of those, but 50cc just wasn't going to do it. I think it would have sold much better had it been a 125cc or 150cc. At least I would have bought one.
