I generally ride about 30K/yr and havnt had an incident in 10 yr
This past tuesday evening I was riding the Ural to look at a friends truck. I was headed north, She was headed south and made a left turn in front of me. I swerved to the right and ALMOST cleared her. I hit her lf bumper.
The bike flipped a time or 2 and I landed across the intersection. I broke my fibula and a little sore but otherwise pretty good. I had on my hi-vis Darien ,hjc helmet, gloves, and A* boots
She was cited and has insurance..

Seems like with your gear, being seen was not the problem? People just don't seem to care about others anymore.

For example-

Yesterday the roads were clear and it was pretty warm so I thought about riding to an appt. Ran out of time to re-install battery,etc so I jumped in the van. The whole way I was envisioning how nice the curves would feel rolling under me, almost zero traffic. Suddenly, on a straightaway w/ nobody behind, a car pulled directly in front of me, I mean I stood on the brakes ! Then asshat proceeds to travel at 35mph in a 55; at the first dashed line I made the pass only to get the finger. WTF, guy pulled out of a church parking lot!?

Suddenly, I was glad to be caged.

I hope you heal up quickly. I hope "She" pays through the nose and learns something.

Yep happens all the time out on the lonely rural road I live on.....the hell with you its all about me society
