I bought mine off ebay. It is truly an awesome suit.
The legs and arms are a bit long, not an issue when riding.
I have decided too live with it rather than spend hundreds of dollars to have them alter it.
When this one has a bit more wear I'll order a new one.

I called Aerostich today withthe intent of cancelling my order.. They talked me out of it.. They said they will expedite construction and get it to me early next week.. I will then have to measure the legs and get it right back to them so they can build yet another suit with shorter legs.. and they will expedite that as well.. so, we'll see.. I have my doubts..

I feel your pain. I ordered my suit on 12/12 and got a message that it would take 8 weeks because they were out of stock in my size. Still waiting, but I called customer service today and they said it already cut they are just sewing it together and it should ship at the end of the week.

To those of you who have sent stuff in for alteration, what kind of prices did they charge? I gave a friend of mine my old pair of RC pants. He has the same size (thickness and length) legs as me, but he has a 30" waist compared to my 38.

I mentioned he could send em in for alteration. He doesn't have much cash, otherwise he wouldn't be using my old gear.

I understand your frustration, but I'm a firm believer that you can't rush protection. I think/know you will be very happy with the outcome.

Call and see.. they will have a number.. but that's a big difference..

Yes I did . He even got off the phone to "run upstairs and check". Did he do that for you too?

I have to wonder if Mike is shrinking his support and production staff to fit the current sales and/or market.

His products are very long in the tooth.

That said I have a very old 1-pc Roadcrafter and a slightly newer Darien Lite jacket in my closet. They have not been used much since about 2009. Too hot, too cold, too much maintenance.

Not worth it if I can't use it... We have given them a break and that's the issue..I thought I would have it 3 weeks ago.. I still have time.. but it's running out..
