Just left the show, if I had known you were going Dan I would have met you for a beer. Or for some of Montreal's other famous sites

Did you see any cool bikes?? Husky Terra 650? New KTM Adventure???

My buddies went tonight but I'm stuck going to a birthday party at the local watering hole

Might as well make the best of it, Deb and I can drink and walk (crawl) back, her house is about 100 yards away

Our bike show visit is now scheduled for sunday

That was my question also, so I went lookin' for them.
I met the guys at the show and they seem like a decent lot.

Turns out they're a manufacturer from Taiwan.
Also turns out they make a Honda Super Cub!!!

Details are sketchy, but apparently they used to make Honda Super Cubs under license from Honda.

Theoretically you can purchase a new one for about $2500.
Unfortunately the nearest Ontario dealer for me is Gear Head in Ottawa; with about the worst reputation around.

Hit the show this morning and it was pretty good...if you went last year you probably saw everything there though. Not really any new bikes...no Huskies, no new KTM's. Mostly just new colors on existing bike. Lots of pirates and pirate stuff.

Rene Cormier was there with his bike and it was nice to catch up with him.

A booth for the Orange Crush event was there with a couple of nice 990's.

Was a good distraction from winter though.

Wow, is Gear Head still alive? I thought Dan would pack'er in after he lost his three other manufacturer dealerships. Unfortunately he apparently still survives on to fuck over other unsuspecting motorcycle buyers. Gotta give credit where credit is due, though. What he lacks in business and customer service skills, he makes up for with intestinal fortitude to soldier on in the motorcycle business despite having alienated his entire Ottawa and area customer base.

The Canadian distributor for Klim and Powerlet had a booth way in the back...managed to try on the Badlands. Liked it, so I bought it. friggin expensive. It had better be the last set of gear I ever buy...
