Sudden boot issue - help

I've been wearing a set of Setup Adventure boots for a bit over 2 years. They have been great and have covered a lot of ground. Recently I got a new commute to work and have to park the bike about 5 blocks from work. The left boot starting last week has been causing a lot of pain to my achilles area. Has anyone experienced this? I should note that my left foot is bigger and thus my toes touch the front of the boot. It feels like the boot is bending in a different manner than the right boot. I was hoping to get another year out of these boots but the pain is pretty bad.

I am afraid I can't offer any advice . . . other than carry a pair of shoes with you . . as a person who used to walk for a living, I simply have no patience with footgear that is not comfortable

I'm quickly getting to the point where the discomfort is not acceptable. The strange part is that they have been comfortable for 2 years, can't see what changed. Oh well, guess I will start looking for a suitable replacement.

Might try to put a pair of Superfeet inserts into your boots.. they are designed for walking.. where as the inserts currently in your boots are flat. Superfeet are around $35 so not cheap, but as a Marine for the last 23 years, they are in every pair of boots I wear, both in uniform and in civies.

The issue isn't really with the bottom of the boot, it is with the back where it makes contact with my achilles. It seems to be bending in such a way that it is putting pressure. Not comfortable.
