Has anyone heard more about these new suits? Aside from a quick blurb from Andy about them being shown in San Fran in a few weeks there isn't any info I can find.
I think the tactical has 3 magazine pockets, 3 holsters and a scabbard across the back. And I'm hoping the city suit has a built in burger pocket with room for a 24oz drink (unless you're in NYC, then you get a 16oz drink holder).

I think it is just solid black with reflective delete. I have solid black with reflective. The reflective panel on the back is great in my opinion. I am not so sold on it for the front pocket. The HFL guy has one with leather sliders that is nice and it got popular:

They have them up on the site now: the tactical is the standard 500d without the 1000d ballistic patches, the "city" is a two-piece in the darien light 200d fabric, with a new tan color available.
The stealth is still a separate option.

Hmm. I was really hoping they were starting to feel the pinch and came up with something new and interesting. They definitely have a great product, and if it aint broke.... Still, I was hoping for more when I heard of these new options.

I have an original RC onsey...I was really hoping Andy would bring the RC Light back to Duluth for mfg...instead of Vietnam. No luck. I was ready to dish out some coin for a RCL if US made...
![]() I gotta admit...the RC look is "traditional" but it is so much more functional that the new radical designs. I have owned Scorpion, Fieldsheeer and First Gear and nothing comes close to the quality and overall functionality of the RC. I do think that every Scorpion product was made by a 24 year old with hack CAD software all jacked up on Mountain Dew and Red Bull. Gheesh...lets put one more pocket, one more strap, one more zipper, one more what ever....yeah...we definitely need another graphic here and here and here just for show. >>>Stepping off soapbox. Substance over style any day of the week. I am heavily anticipating the arrival of the 2013 Catalog.

That probably also means alterations. So, there is a 2-piece RCL available, and it looks like you can match the RCL colors plus a couple other options.

Two details that might be useful to some
The new city suit is a two piece RC light with 500d ballistics so a bit better than the 200d on the RC light one piece plus it has a liner. and Most of the alterations can be done to the RClight one piece. |

Yawn.
I was hoping for something new and different, but these are just variations on a well worn theme. I like my 'stich, but I can't see these adding to their sales, they will just cannibalize other models in the line up. The beauty of the stich is that it is one suit that does it all. Adding so many variations just serves to confuse that message. Do I need the regular stich or the lightweight? Or maybe the Ultralightweight? Or the City? Or the Tactical?

As it happens - I asked about most of those and they said yes - they are adding new alterations to the light line steadily. I'd say give them a call.

I read this sentiment fairly often . . . . . and, am curious . . . . when you say you were wishing for more, what is it you were wishing to see?

Well, I wouldn't mind some real functional ventilation. The back zipper is okay, but the armpit vents don't do anything unless you adopt an Ape Hanger pose in order to get your pits in the wind.
