Anyone ever use EL (Electroluminescent) wire on their bike before?
Someone gave me an idea on another forum about possibly using EL wire on one of my bikes:

Not on a bike but I did use it on a case mod back in 2000:

Makes me wonder just how well it could work on a bike. I have a trike I'm rebuilding that has a plastic tank, wonder if I could get the glow wire to make the tank glow from inside.

Says it doesn't produce any heat but I'll bet that a spark at the wrong time has the potential to be embarrassing.

Some RVs use that or a similar product to light their interiors. Not my style but it seems to work and is popular.

Used it quite a bit at Burning Man. Not on Motorcycle, but on multiple bicycles and low voltage area lighting. Great stuff. No heat, very low power, smaller sizes are very flexible. You can get different voltages, sizes, colors. controllers....Some with their own battery pack, so that plug straight into 12v. If you look around, you will see some clothing with it sewn into some pretty amazing designs with fancy controllers.
