Baja Taco Tour 2014-2015

Hi everyone,

My name is Sam. Yes I am!

And my buddies and I are going on a vacation!

In 5 days, 3 of my buddies and I will be headed down to Baja for a bit of fun on our bikes.
A couple of things about us, well more than a couple things.
We are from New Mexico and Colorado, and it is snowing as I type this! Even though I am a powder hound, we have been planning this trip for so long, that I couldn't give a shit about skiing this year as all my thoughts have been going to Baja, sand and surf.

I am 40, on a F800Gs.

Here it is getting prepped in my living room. BTW, my wife is awesome for letting me park it in the house for 2 weeks while I tweaked on it.

Most likely, I won't be updating this page very much at all during the trip, but afterwards, I'll plague you FF's with too many photos of good times and mishaps.

This sounds like fun. Wish I was going with you. My brother in law out in Albuquerque makes that trip annually and I have yet to get to go. Have a blast and savor every taco as well as every minute. Can't wait to read the report.

When you get to San Felipe. Go to the malecon and down near the end next to the Miramar bar is a little taco stand called adrianna's It is run by a little old lady named Maria. Best shrimp and fish tacos around.

This is what makes an adventure just that, If you don't drop the bike, you aren't having any fun. As long as we don't hurt ourselves.
And yes, we plan to have a blast. speaking of which, I just got my Cyclops headlight in. I am gonna go and install it now. I'll try to post before and after pics.

I loved your RR BRUTSQD! We will be doing a lot of what you did. And probably punishing our livers as well as you did too!

Money well spent, Samalama. Even though you will all swear to each other prior to the trip, "We will never ever ride at night" because we all know it is silly and dangerous to ride at night in Mexico, the reality is that you will end up riding well after dark. Usually when you are tired, cold, hungry and possibly riding on a flat tire because you've run out of spare tubes. But it's not really an adventure until everything goes horribly wrong . I'm looking forward to this one; I'll be living vicariously through you guys til I can get back down there.

What a huge difference! Looks like that would be installed at the factory.
