I needed a reminder of how amazing the desert can be. What a great time! I hope to go back some day....with a bigger tank!

See... Cerro Gordo ! Up near Lone Pine.

Cerro Gordo is privately held, but the caretaker will show you around.
Been fixing the place for 18 years... lots of knowledge about it.
IMHO: Provide some money for his efforts at fixing up the place.

His name is Robert, phone is 760-876-5030

Shotgun Blast and bullet hole in the parlor wall.



Also see the Salt Tram towers (same area).
You can ride the road from Cerro Gordo down to White Talc Road too, connects into Saline Valley. (rough).
