I put the 140 on my adventure and am perfectly happy with it right now.

I've already been lectured about the cross section and all that, but I only use the center part anyways so I figured it didn't matter.

Yes please, some pics would be appreciated. I'm really undecided between these and the Conti TAs. I know it's apples and oranges, but still. The TAs get exceptional reviews everywhere, great mileage, great on road, acceptable on hard dirt. My problem is I love riding the sandy tracks in FL and not sure the Contis will do well there... These seem like a good compromise.

I'll post some this evening when I get home.

I was riding a tractionator, so I'm completely amazed by how quiet this tire is compared to the noise I was making before.

I haven't had it off the tarmac yet as we've been through a veritable monsoon since I've put it on, but hopefully I'll get the chance here this weekend.

Thanks, all updates will be greatly appreciated. It might just be my next tire...

140

I have about 500 miles on the 140 size on my 990 - and about 200 of those off road on everything from rocky hill climbs, to single track, to fire/gravel roads. Tire still looks like new, quite impressive actually.

I usually run a 908, so it was interesting to find out this thing feels better on the fire/gravel (more lateral stability), and hooked up just fine on dirt/rocks.

For $95 shipped, what is not to love?

Shipped from where? Why the 140? My 908 looks way too stretched. I won't be fitting a 140 on my rim again.

Motorcycle-Superstore, and $94 is why!

I think it looks less stretched then that 908, but you be the judge. This is @ 600 miles, majority off-road and looking great. At this point the 140 K60 Scout I tried was already shredding badly, this is much better.

You are right, it does look less stretched. And $94 sure is a good reason... I get that it compares well with the 908 off road, but how does it compare on road? What are you running on the front? You have more pics? Sorry for all the questions but this looks interesting

Well, to clarify my statements, it compares very well on dry, gravel and fire roads so far (in some cases better in my opinion). It also handles loose, rocky climbs in the Cascade foothills well.

On road, it is far superior in my mind. Quieter, smoother, much better cornering fall in and stability. On road was my least favorite part of the 908, especially here in Pacific Northwest where it is wet often...

I rotate my front between a Pirelli Scorpion Rally if more dirt, or TKC 80 for more road.

I wonder why the 140 is so much cheaper? Because it's a tube type tire maybe? I wonder if the mileage is affected being a tube type versus the tubeless 150? For half the price though, it would have to be less than half the mileage for me to care. I might try one after my 908RR wears out.

Weird. Both are rated to 106 mph and 740 lbs. Half the price? makes no sense. And the 140 is more widely available. Seems a good option. I have about 1500-2500 miles left on the 908, so I will be watching these carefully.
